July has been MUCH more fun than June. I have had much more free time to do what I want. The other day I had what I consider to be a perfect summer day... swimming, shopping, mexican food, Will Ferrel movie, and hanging with my friend Jose' C. It was carefree and fun. All that a summer day should be.
I have spent some of this summer scooping ice cream and I love it. I swear, it is the best job... EVER!! You go, scoop, make occasional waffle cones, and then you are done. Everyone is in a good mood and you make people happy. Often as a teacher you do not have the instant gratification that you do when you are selling people ice cream.
We are in the almost 2 month range till I meet my niece. I am out of control with the shopping for her. But, I love it! I am excited about the simplest things like reading her books and making puppet shows for her. I cannot wait to meet her!
Tonight I made my FAVORITE salad for dinner. I love iceburg lettuce, tomato, red onion, and blue cheese! YUM!!!
I am having to use an enormous amount of veggies grown at Helen and Bobby's. The garden is out of control. I have been able to share the bountiful harvest with my friends and that makes me happy.
Tomorrow I am looking forward to finishing planning the workshop I am presenting on Friday and possibly baking a cake.
